Hey Y’all! I hope everyone is staying warm – winter finally
found us! We love to be outside and since it has been so cold we are having to find
ways to stay occupied indoors.
Usually when we get home on weeknights, it’s dark and dreary
by 5:30. So, dinner is my main priority and anything after that typically
involves sitting on the couch watching some type of show. Can’t you sense the
excitement of our lives? Lately we’ve been on a Netflix/TV series kick. Our go-to shows are Friends, Scandal, and Mad
Men, but I personally don’t think you can ever go wrong with Gilmore Girls!
Maggie and Manning love Netflix as much as we do! |
If you’re entertaining or have friends over, I would
recommend games. Most everyone loves them! Card games like Phase 10 or Uno are
always a hit, as well as games like Hedbanz or trivia. Obviously the more
people you have, the better. Plus it’s always interesting to see how
competitive your friends really are!

On
the days you feel more productive than others, take advantage of it and clean/organize a room in your home. We (mostly, if not only, Andrew) did that this past weekend with our basement. It was cold and gloomy outside so he bit the bullet and knocked it out. Now it’s over and looks great!

Lastly – try a new activity. Try out new recipes, exercise, work on a DIY project, meal plan, learn how to sew, the list of activities I want to try is forever long! Over the weekend I made a Pinterest recipe for banana bread. I'm assuming it was successful, because it looked great. But, Andrew and I both learned we aren't really even fans of banana bread - who knew?! It was a fun activity though. So, make sure to try new things this season, you may pick up a new hobby in the process!

I've never played hedbanz but it sounds fun. The days really are short now, maybe it's just a chance for our bodies to rest up before summer. Great ideas Brittney. :)
