Valentine's Day Chick Flicks

It is Valentine's Day week~  hope you have made plans to celebrate the day.

In our house, we aren't ever too over the top in our celebrating. A nice dinner together at home is typically our go to tradition, a no pressure kind of holiday.  My sweet hubby always has me some beautiful flowers ~ pale blush or peach roses are my favorites.
I will have him a bag filled with his favorite chocolates and of course a sweet card. Even though we love each other every day ~ its nice to draw a little attention to the fact and remind each other of that.  Mike has always been sure to have a bouquet for Brittney too ~ you can't start teaching your little girl how she should expect to be treated by boys/ men too soon.

With Valentine's day being on Sunday this year I am sure there will be a lot of people celebrating on Saturday night.  With little ones and sitters and back to work on Monday, sometimes it's more enjoyable to celebrate a different day.  Flexibility is key ~ do what works for your family.

If you want to celebrate on Sunday, a fun low key option could be an afternoon chick flick marathon with some yummy manly snacks. (Snacks might help the hubby want to watch the movies a little more).

Let's think of those manly snacks first: wings, chips & salsa (check last week's post and make your salsa homemade, the extra effort will be appreciated), cheese fries, pizza, brownies or Valentine cookies...  pretty easy stuff.

I may plan to watch all of these Sunday afternoon... Not sure that Mike will join me for them all, but #1 is his favorite too.
