Hey Y'all,

It is early April, but this means the children will be getting out of school in less than 2 months... Yippee!!!
I love summer time schedules or more importantly I enjoy the lack of a rigid schedule. Even though I worked outside the home when Brittney was little, summers were still fun and less structured. We could play outside later and enjoy no homework nights!! If we fudged on bedtime, it wasn't a big deal, I wasn't worried about her needing to be focused on schoolwork. While my work schedule remained the same this meant I still needed childcare during the summer. I wasn't crazy about summer care at school, not because it wasn't a good option. But it was summer and NOBODY wants to be at school in the summer if they can avoid it. So this left me to search other options. We were never a "sleep away" camp family, so day camps were my go to activities. Let's see, there was volleyball camp, cheer camp, vacation bible schools & swim lessons. We were fortunate that our church also offered summer daycare - that was ideal and boy did they keep them busy! But it also gave us the option for some down time. They would often have pool time in the mornings and then movies in the afternoon.

You probably are well aware, but it takes a lot of planning and coordinating to make sure they have fun and that means it is time to start planning some sweet Summer- time activities for your little and not so little ones. This is a good idea for Moms who are home with the children during the summer too. It's okay to say it ~ after a few weeks of togetherness, you might look forward to giving them a few hours a day at day camp.
You are in luck! Because here in the Chattanooga area we have so many fun options! Just to name a few ~ you may want to check out
Creative Discovery Museum , TN Aquarium Camp , GPS Summer Camp ,
Baylor Summer Camps/ Day and Overnight & this week the Chattanooga Times Free Press had a full list of
Summer 2016 Camps.
