Hey Ya'll! It's the week of the Super Bowl - are you a Denver Broncos or Carolina Panthers fan? We're partial to the Broncos, mostly because of Mr. Peyton Manning. After all, we do have a fur baby named Manning.

... I digress. Today I thought I would share a really easy Super Bowl recipe, barbecue wings. You can throw these in your crockpot when you get home from church on Sunday and they will be ready in time for the game!

Start with 3-4 pounds of thawed chicken drumettes, wings, or a combination (we prefer a combo). Rinse them with water, pat dry, and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and onion flakes.

Place them in a crockpot sprayed with cooking spray.

Add 1 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce, I use Sticky Fingers-Carolina Sweet and 12 ounces of either root beer or Dr. Pepper. I've tried it with both and prefer the Dr. Pepper.

Set your crockpot on low and cook for 4 hours, stirring occasionally.

After 4 hours, place the wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Add more barbecue sauce to the wings and sprinkle with brown sugar.

Bake for 10-15 minutes at 350 degrees.

They are delicious on their own but even better with loaded potato skins!

I hope you enjoy these wings as much as we do, and may the best team win. Go Broncos!
